Community
Our church work does not stop at our church doors.
Get Involved!
The members of Center Church take part in a wide variety of community service projects and programs.
We welcome you to get involved as well!

Feeding the Hungry
We are especially concerned about hunger in our community. This is why Center Church initiated a meal serving service for Columbus House in November 1982. Each third Sunday, in keeping with tradition, Center Church members and friends prepare and serve a meal for the needy who come to Columbus House.
Center Church also proudly supports the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen, “D.E.S.K,” which is housed in our Parish House basement. Though independently run, Center Church actively supports it.
Helping Those in Need
During our weekly Sunday Service, Center Church collects gifts of food and money for Christian Community Action; and during the Christmas Season we supplement our contributions with collections of toys, books, mittens, hats and gloves.
In order to address other pressing needs in our community and in our nation Center Church provides support for “The Baby Closet,” which provides funding for pregnant women who agree to attend pre- and post- natal classes at Hill Health Center.
Center Church also supports for two worthy charities. We collect Labels for Education for Elon Homes for Children, located in North Carolina, which provides missionary outreach to impoverished children; and soda can tabs for Ronald McDonald House, to help seriously ill children and their families.
