Born in Mayaquez, Puerto Rico. Enrique grew up in Bronx, NY and Providence, RI. He moved to Bristol CT as a young adult. There, he worked for the City of Bristol for almost 30 years performing Custodial/Maintenance until his retirement. After his retirement, he worked for the West Haven Library for a couple of years. He has been very involved in the unions at both the City of Bristol, as Union Rep, and then as President at the W.H. Library. His knowledge and skill help them to negotiate their “best contract ever” according to the staff.
He became a resident of New Haven, when he became a loving husband to his wife, Trish, over 17 years ago. He is also a loving father to 4 children, including the youngest who is a talented artist and honor student in the New Haven Public School system.
Enrique enjoys cooking and dancing and enjoys a variety of genres of music. He is considered an audiophile because of his love of the many different formats (CD, Vinyl, streaming, etc.) of music.
